The Borgås Man

Is a statue, built of rocks, it looks like a man with a hat. The statue stands in Källtegen on a hill called Borgåsen. From a distance it looks like it is guarding the area. The origin is unknown, but the legend tells, that it was erected during wartimes in the 17 - 18 century, to make the enemies think there stands a real watchman.
From the top of Borgåsen you have a magnificent view over the lake Västra Silen. A small track leads to the statue.

Drive road 172 towards " Bengtsfors " about 12 km, turn right at the sign "Blomskog". Continue about 2,5 km there you will see a track to the left leading up the hill. The statue can be seen from a far distance.
