In the area there are, among other things, cultural relics in the form of Morast's stronghold, a shooting guard and trenches since the dissolution of the union. A power line street, small roads and an illuminated track create line corridors with a large amount of light, which is favorable for a rich insect life of sand-living and sun-loving species. Adjacent to the power line street, Värmland's landscape insect brown grass butterfly (Coenonympha hero) can be found, which is classified as Naer Threatened (NT) according to the Swedish Species Information Centre Red List.
