Vänerleden

Cycle Sweden's 6th national cycle path - Vänerleden! On the trail, you will be met by fine beaches, world-class cultural experiences and exciting natural phenomena.

Along the Vänerleden you will find several cafés, cozy farm shops and restaurants with Whiteguide status that give you a wonderful dining experience. Vänerleden offers to tread on separate cycle paths, low-traffic paved roads but also gravel roads that meander through archipelago landscapes, forest landscapes and fertile arable land. Some of the sections are already used today as cycle paths, other sections are completely new as cycle paths and the trail will be 640 km long.

Cultural experiences along Vänerleden

Sandgrund Lars Lerin, Värmland museum, Kristinehamn art museum, Picasso sculpture Södra Råda old church, Särestad rural museum, Dalaborg, Vänersborg museum, old neighborhoods in Mariestad, Lidköping, Kristinehamn and Åmål.

Nature experiences along Vänerleden

Several nature reserves such as Kummelön, Surö beech forest, biosphere area Kinnekulle and Vänerskärgården, Segerstad archipelago. On some of the stretches, the Vänerleden follows already existing cycle paths.
