The main building originates from Bråne in Grums. The building was built in 1854 and was moved to its current locatation by the lake Långsjön och could be christened in 1965. The The lodge comes from western Torserud in Borgvik. The pole shed comes from Hagen in west Malsjö and was built in 1819 according to the weather vane. On the property you can also find Lavinias cottage that was built in 1906 as one of the first buildings in what now is Grums urban area.
Grums folk museum don't offer a museum installation but regularly host activities during the summer season for its members and other visitors such as music nights and coffee breaks.

Grums hembygdsförening har gamla anor men hembygdsgården kom upp först 1956, vid Långsjöns strand. Nu finns det flera byggnader och alla är från bygden och har en historia att berätta.

Från Grums, passera Hasseldalens badplats och fortsätt knappt två kilometer norrut längs med Långsjön. Hembygdsgården ligger på vänster sida med en stor grusparkering synlig från vägen.
