All of Karlskoga cycle trails start at Alfred Nobel square and are marked by blue signs depicting a bicycle.
This trail is “an old favourite” and is circa 30 km long
There is much to see when you cycle around Möckeln. First you pass Näset and past the homestead in Aggerud. Then you cycle past Storängen’s commercial district, after about 500 meters you come to Espenäs, take a left if you want a swim. Then continue on an asphalt cycle track to Degerfors and you will pass Degernäs bathing area and then the golf course. Continue down towards Hästhagen and along Letälven river. On the right hand side, you will see Stora Valla, before you cross the bridge to a cycle path at Bruksvägen. After a short while you arrive at a rest place called Idyllen on the left. Benches invite you to take a rest. The next direction will be to Möllebadet. A few kilometres later is Degerfors homestead-Knutsbol on the left. Carry on a bit and you come to Labbsand, where there is a bathing spot. Continue on the road and you arrive at the golf course in Karlskoga and Valåsen sawmill. When you have passed the sawmill take a right in to Nedre Älvgårdsvägen, then under the E18 and continue over Svartälven river, swing down under the bridge and follow the river a short way. Take a right on the little cycle path and come up in a residential district. After that you arrive at Sandvik bathing and Backa beach. You are soon back at the starting point – follow the blue signs to the centre. Maps are available at Karlskoga Tourist Information.
