Melodifestivalen i Karlstad 2024

It's been 5 years since Karlstad exploded in a sea of glitter and pink sequins covered in boundless joy. But now it's time again! Mello is coming here for the fifth and final round of Melodifestivalen 2024.

Through five different competitions in Malmö, Gothenburg, Växjö, Eskilstuna and Karlstad, the intense battle among the artists to win the TV viewers and the jury's conviction that their entry should go through to the prestigious final at the Friends Arena in Stockholm.

The audience in Karlstad can look forward to an extra exciting show as a new concept will premiere in Karlstad. At Löfbergs Arena, artists will compete for the coveted places in the grand final that takes place at Friends Arena the following weekend. Intermediate audiences will be able to look forward to five rounds instead of four, with the fifth round in Karlstad replacing what was previously known as Andra chansen (the second chance).

Three chances for a great show at Löfbergs Arena

There are also three opportunities to see Melodifestivalen at Löfbergs Arena. The first chance is at the rehearsal on Friday 1 March at 19.00, then there will be a matinee performance on Saturday 2 March at 14.00, which then ends with the live broadcast later in the evening at 20.00.

The 2024 edition of Mello is also expected to be something very special as Sweden is organising this year's Eurovision Song Contest in May with Malmö as the host city.

Benjamin Ingrosso won in Karlstad 2018 - who will win in 2024?

Do you remember that the last time Mello visited Karlstad, Benjamin Ingrosso won the competition with his song Dance you off. Later, he also won the final and got to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest that year in Lisbon, where Benjamin finished in 7th place. Maybe the winner will be in Karlstad's starting field this year too!

At Löfbergs Arena you can see the following entries and artists:
”Back To My Roots”
Jay Smith

”Banne maj”
Elecktra

”Controlla”
Chelsea Muco
