Wiksfors Bruk is a place with a passion for locally produced, small-scale production, recycling and creative collaborations.
Just off the E18 in Långserud lies Wiksfors, a historic industrial site that has hosted various businesses since the 1600s.
A mill, sawmill, tannery, carpentry, tinsmith workshop, charcoal production, and wooden shingle manufacturing are just a few of the trades that have taken place here. The first electric power station was built in nearby Sillingsfors in 1905, but it wasn’t until 1919 that electricity reached the surrounding area.
Today, the mill is buzzing with life as it functions as a company hotel with a passion for small-scale production, reuse and creative collaborations. In the beautiful working environment, you will find several cozy shops, wonderfully tasty waffles, pizza baked in a stone oven and much more. In 2020, Wiksfors was awarded as one of Sweden's best tourist destinations.

Wood sculptor Lotta Boholm Wall. Artistic activities such as workshops in wood carving etc. Several of her sculptures can be found in the mill area, don't miss the 15 meter high carved poles which are a tribute to the life of the maid and farmhand.
