Total length: 1
kmThe meditative forest walk offers a relaxing and nature-close experience, allowing you to let go of everyday stress and instead take in the colors, scents, and sounds of the surroundings. Here, you'll encounter babbling brooks, moss-covered trees, and earth rich with the scent of mushrooms. As the wind sweeps through the forest, it creates a calming atmosphere.
Along the trail, you’ll also pass historical remnants from World War II, including the remains of a watchtower and a small overnight cabin once used for border patrol. The short hike up Hemberget, just north of Mattila, is a perfect loop for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful walk in untouched forest surroundings.
