Cross-Country tracks
When winter has arrived and snow has fallen, there are several cross-country tracks waiting for you.
A very popular area that reminds many of the Swedish "fjäll" is the Nature reserve Byamossarna between Mangskog and Gunnarskog.
At the golf course in Edane the club prepares a nice track on the course and at Kärrsmossen you have an easy-going track of 6 km just close to town. In the northern part of the municipality - where there might be more snow also - there is a 15 km long track starting at Fredros Gård.
There are several areas where both the municipality and other organisations/private people have made skiing tracks in the snow. You can read more about the tracks and the current skiing situation at www.skidspar.se.
An overview of partly illuminated tracks which are prepared when there is enough snow, you will find on Arvika's website. Close to the town center, you do find tracks at Vik, Prästängen, Taserud and Ingestrand.

At the sporting area Vik there is a 3,5 km long cross-country track prepared with artificial snow.
Walking along the tracks
You are, of course, welcome to take a walk along tracks in wintertime, but please observe that you are not allowed to walk on the prepared surface.
