One of the largest local heritage centres in Arvika is the one in Brunskog with over 40 buildings.The area also holds some new old-style buildings such as an exhibition hall, a small weaving house, an agricultural museum, a restaurant as well as a reconstruction of Gullsby papermill.
The pottery and Brunskogs smithy is open all year and the textil artist Therese Henner, Sirli Textil, and the jewelry designer Amanda Åkermo have their studios on the area.
A handicraft exhibition is arranged here every summer as well as Gammelvala, a festival in July featuring old working traditions. During autumn and winter, there is an autumn market and a Christmas market organised. Café open during summer. The restaurant is open on reservation and during events.
The area is acessible all year round.
