Glava local heritage centre is situated on a heap with a view over river Glas. The area consists of several buildings such as main building, barn, granary, smithy and workhouse. All buildings have slate, arranged in skilful patterns, that comes from the slate quarry in Glava. The local heritage centres' large collection of objects has been arranged to show how different trades and housework once was performed. There is a shoemakers shop, carpentry, a wash house, mangle shed and a dairy room, as well as a school.
There is also an herbal garden with over 70 herbs. A wooden bridge leads from the garden to Gladisvall, a medieval church place where a church and a pilgrim lodging once lay. There is also a slate museum.
The herbal garden and slate museum is are accessable all year. The local heritage center is open by agreement or during events.
