Högeruds local heritage centre consists of the old farmhouse at Tomta which is situated at its original location. The farmhouse was in older days a wagon station and an Inn and within the area there is also a provision-shed built on posts and a log house. The association also owns the old forest croft Dammhultet, with buildings from the 1850s. During the summer several occasions are celebrated starting with Walpurgis Night.
