Sölje Manor is situated at Lake Glafsfjordens western shore, in Sölje, about 35 km southwest of Arvika. The manor has remains left from the 18th century, when it was one of Värmlands largest apple orchards, and the heart of Sölje.
In the authentic environment of the old barn, you can have coffee and eat light dishes, ice cream and pastries.
The murals by the artist Marja Hallstensson (also called Marja i Myrom) depict life on the farm, and there are also beautiful photos by the photographer Tage Bäck, as well as an exhibition about Gio Petré's acting career - an interesting journey through Swedish film history together with other big names within the Swedish film industry.
Sölje Herrgård was bought by Gio Petré and her family in 1971 and is still the family's private residence today.
On the farm there is also a farm shop with everything from furnishings to battery-powered garden machines, arts and crafts, skin traps and locally produced goods from Värmland, as well as a book series of children's books "Animals on Sölje" with fine illustrations painted by artist Marja Hallstensson.
