This folk museum was founded in 1924. The main building was originally a farm from the 1800s but was later used as a school. Here you will find more old buildings from the neighbourhood, among others a barn from Remjäng.
Beredskapsåra museum (Military preparedness) is part of the folk museum and is a furnished barrack from 1940. Visitors can experience the life of the soldiers serving along the border during World War II, 1940 - 1945. There is also a large register of refugees who fled from Norway across the border.
