The name Gåsborn is thought to come from the fact that wild geese settled down during their relocations. "–Born" means "the stretcher" or the stretch of land between two lakes - here between Bjursjön and Gåstjärnen.
In the countryside museum there are several old objects to view and sometimes wonderful events are arranged here.
