Iron Road is an association between several different associations in Östra Värmland. The goal is to enliven and tell about the iron's path from mine to finished product. This also includes the extensive shipments of iron products.
In Nordmark there is a mining museum with mining fields, the canal, Nordmarksberg's mines and a water wheel.
Storbrohyttan in Filipstad is a well-preserved cabin with water-wheel-driven slag stump and an executable blower. Here, Iron Day is celebrated every year.
In Filipstad there is also Kyrkviken, which is used as a port for the transport of iron and ore since the 17th century.
Just outside Filipstad is the Leaning Planet, which was a unique lift-like construction to transport the iron over the mountain.
Asphyttan was the center of the early iron history in Värmland.
