The today's "Kärleksvägen" is the old railway bank that went from Kyrkviken to the inclined plane.
In 1851, a limited company was formed in eastern Värmland to build a horse track between Vinternäset on Lake Yngen and in Filipstad on Lake Daglösen. The main purpose of the railway was to be able to transport the ore from Persberg to the port of Daglösen for further transport to Kristinehamn. The length of the course was 7.1 km and the track width 0.544 m.
The height difference between Yngen and Daglösen is 70 m and that problem had to be solved. It was solved by leading the course down the "Abborrberget" with a so-called. "inclined plane".
The construction was such that the fully loaded carriage that went down pulled up the empty. Due to the nature of the Abborrberg, the track was laid with 3 rails in width instead of 4 when the embankment could be made narrower. The rails in the middle were common to both wagons and halfway down the mountain where they met were 4 rails. On Abborrberget stood the gaming company which, with a large disc with braking mechanics, regulated the speed of the carriages, one end of the line was attached to the downward carriage and the other end of the upward carriage.
