Brattfallet is a 10 meter high waterfall. During high flow of water, the waterfall's very powerful. After the waterfall Brattfallet, Halgån flows through a canyon.
The beautiful stone bridge dates back to 1923 when the road was built by hand over the mountains of previously roadless land. Summertime, when the water flow is low you can climb on the stone walls. The work, an AK-work to combat poverty in the 20's unemployment, is remembered with a memorial stone.
Rafting was common on Brattfallet down to the river Klarälven until the end of the 70s. When Klarälven river, after the ice age eroded down into the fjord and river sediments created a huge height difference - Halgan dug then into a easily erodedfracture and Brattfallet with its canyon created.
