Betsy mainly manufactures utility items in stoneware and is happy to turn them to order based on your wishes. As a potter, Betsy is always looking for the right shapes, her creations are often minimalistic, with simple, strong and clean lines.
Betsy uses different types of clay, and in her products she likes to show the clay's own character, by leaving the object partially unglazed. Betsy prefers to work with living glazes that she makes herself. Betsy sees handmade ceramics as something very personal.
"When you know who made your coffee mug or breakfast bowl, you are more in touch with the world around you. That's why I prefer to make things that you can use in everyday life, from plates, cups, bowls and basins, to vases and candlesticks.”
