A cycle loop of about 24 km. Follow Katrinedalsgatan east. At the circulation point at Skolgärdet take a left and follow Boåsvägen to Flipstadsvägen. Take a right towards the E18. Pass the E18 at the traffic lights. In the Rosendal quarter you can see the old mill-workers’ houses from 1913. It was a high-status area in which to live and the best was to have a two-room flat.
Today the flats are remodelled but there have been no great changes made to the outside. The whole area is of great historical value. Gråbo – Minnenas Worker’s Museum and Korpkullen are also here. Then follow Noravägen to Lerängen where you swing to the left towards Granbergsdal. At Granbergsdal ironworks you can have a coffee in the summertime in the coffeehouse. After that continue in the gravel road to Öfalla, take a right to Karlskoga. At Forsnästorpsbron take a left towards Immetorp. Continue on Immetorpsvägen to the E18 and then over Svartälven river, swing down under the bridge and go along the river for a bit. On the little cycle path take a right and come up in a residential district. After that you arrive at Sandviks bathing area and Backa beach. You are nearly back at the start – follow the blue signs into the centre.
You can pick up a map at Karlskoga Tourist Information.
