Directress Baptista Screiber (1818-1656) was the daughter of Belgian circus director Baptiste Schreiber and Swedish actress Bertha Lindberg. Baptista moved to Karlskoga in the autumn of 1929 with her husband and brother-in-law. When Baptista's horse was mysteriously poisoned, the head of the stable of the court gave her another horse, Menelik, who is now buried close to the walls outside the graveyard Skogskyrkogården.
A statue of Menelik is now placed in a roundabout in central Karlskoga. The artist is Göran Persson.
