The ornithologically most valuable terrain is the lowland meadows in the northwest. Grasshopper warblers and river warblers breed there.
There are two bird towers around the lake, one on the west side, in the municipality of Kil and one on the east side, in the municipality of Forshaga. Since the towers are opposite each other, you can choose the one that fits best in relation to the direction of the sunlight. It is therefore best to scout for birds in the afternoon and evening in the municipality of Kil and in the municipality of Forshaga in the morning and early morning.
