Listen to how the daughter of a mill owner lived in 19th-century Kristinehamn.
In the 1700s and 1800s, Kristinehamn was as important to the world economy as Wall Street in New York is today. The world market price for iron was set here. For a few weeks each year, the town's population doubled and the nightlife was lively.
The walk takes you through areas where you can still see many traces from the time when iron was the main business. Good, comfortable shoes are recommended.
