Enjoy live music, stage performances, sing-along, traditional folk dancing, Swedish dance band – and of course, spontaneous jam sessions.
Feel free to bring your instrument, whatever it might be you play, and join the "buskspel" (jam sessions) with other musicians! The joy of playing together usually spreads easily to both the audience and the musicians. This is one of the absolute highlights of the festival - groups of musicians from all corners of the world unite and play together.
At Ransäters hembygdsgård (the homestead museum), there are two stages, three barns and two dance floors that are easily filled with happy musicians, dancers and visitors.
The music is not only of a traditional character, it is also performed in a number of other styles, including jazz and classical.
The festival, "Bälgspel vid landsvägskanten", takes place the second week after Midsummer every year and is organized by the Värmland Accordion Clubs' Association, Hembygdsföreningen i Ransäter and Studiefrämjandet.
