Lake Vänern, Western Europe's largest lake with fantastic fishing opportunities for its visitors.
There are 35 different fish species in Lake Vänern such as pike, whitefish, pike and salmon to name a few species. The largest of the Väner salmon is the Gullspång salmon, it is also the world's largest lake salmon that can weigh over 20 kg. No fishing license is required to fish in Lake Vänern, but there are fishing rules that must be followed.
