Hike from Ekenäs to Ulvudden to see the rock carving unique to Värmland.
The rock carvings are the other known in Värmland consists of at least seven ships and 70 cup marks. A new ship was found in autumn 2009. The area is handicapped accessible with a ramp to make carvings more accessible. Rockcarvings is on a surface of 7.1 x 6.4 m, comprising at least 7 ship, 3 figures and undefinable 70 carvings.
The road to the petroglyphs can be very bumpy from time to time. There are not many other parking lots nearby, a small patch a little further along the road before the exit road to the rock carving. Further ahead there is a farm with agriculture, so it is not suitable to park there.
The carvings can most likely dated to the Late Bronze Age and the early Iron Age. The ships are 45-234 cm long. The wooden boards around the rock carving are worn, they have a few years on their necks so take care ! In the rain it becomes slippery. Rock carvings at Ulvudden have six ship figures that are known at the site, also several bowl pits and other more difficult to interpret rock carvings. Stylistically, the larger ships can be dated to the Late Bronze Age.

From Säffle drive towards Ekenäs, about 35 km. Turn right towards Ulvudden. Drive about 200 metre on a smaller road to the parking lot. The carvings are at the lower end of the rock.
