At the marshy Hällemyren laid out a number of "earth house", back cottages and crofts. During the 1800s most of the houses disappeared. The "earth house" was found and restored in 1980 for the Gillberga Folklore Society. The first residents acc. protocol "Engvakten", Anders Jansson, born in 1794. In 1818, he stands written in Hällemyren along with his wife Maria Eriksdotter.
According Household Examination protocol was the "earth house" inhabited between 1818 and 1886, and at most lived a family of 10 persons here, on a floor area of less than 8 square meters. An easy hiking trail in the beautiful scenery leads to this historic heritage. Length of the trail is about 1 km. Hällemyren is a bog that was once farmed but is now overgrown with forest. From the road, a carved footpath leads to the globe, which is well worth a visit.

From Säffle drive Rv 175 north, towards Kolsäter just north of Gillberga church. Just before Kolsäter community, turn right up the avenue towards Emilsdal farm. From the avenue, the road to Hällemyren is marked.
