At the industrial community were in 1602 a bar-iron hammer built and in 1611 a foundry and further a hammer. Here has also been a mill and a sawmill.
The foundry were closed in 1841.
Today there is a smithy with roots in the 18th century on the eastern side of the islet and a mill with stables (originally a brick kiln) on the opposite shore.
The beautiful stone bridge over the river with its in the smithy made iron rail is worth seeing
