Total length: 8
kmJoppolaleden is a moderately challenging, quality-assured and certified Hiking Värmland trail that runs through one of the most fascinating environments in Finnskogen. Along the hike, you’ll pass several historic homesteads, including the Finnish settlement Joppola, which gave the trail its name.
The trail mainly consists of smaller paths and boardwalks and crosses several small hills. A particularly challenging section comes after the road crossing at Noppiberget, where a steep incline will definitely get your heart rate up before reaching the summit. In addition to the cultural and historical highlights, you’ll also encounter the unique hyperite flora – a rare and nutrient-rich volcanic rock formation.
