Lekvattnet was the first parish in northern Värmland where the Forest Finns settled down shortly after 1600. At the homestead museum of Karmenkynna, you can visit eighteen different buildings that show the conditions of life for the early settlers from Finland. There is also a small walking path that connects Karmenkynna with Finnskogscentrum museum.
Open in the summer with restaurant. Traditional dishes are served here: motti & fläsk (roasted oatmeal with bacon and lingonberry jam), meatballs with mashed potatoes, or waffles.
