Sahlströmsgården, in idyllic Utterbyn in northern Värmland, represents a part of Swedish art and cultural history. The mansion is filled with memories of artistic and strong personalities. The sisters Anna and Ida and their brother Bror Sahlström lived here, all artists. Anna was a painter, Bror a sculptor and woodcarver, while Ida wove and designed textile and furniture. They were frequently visited by other artist friends, such as Ivan Agueli, Siri Derkert, Carl Wilhelmsson, Einar Nerman and Karl Nordström. Adjacent to the mansion is a hotel, restaurant, handicraft and art shop, and exhibition space with changing exhibitions.
