Gittas verkstad

On the idyllic farm Gjutås outside Lennartsfors, you will find a small handicrafts' paradise created by textile artist Gitta Bretsch and her husband. Visitors are warmly welcome and are invited on a tour of Gitta's weaving workshop with its three different looms. Here you can shop a lot of nice things in the small farm shop or order individually designed scarves and blankets.

Gitta weaves shawls and tapestries, sews loop shawls and paints pictures in a special tempera technique. All her products are unique. The products are made from selected materials and are offered in a spectrum of colors. Swedish nature is a great source of inspiration, both in terms of design and color. Gitta and her husband also make beautiful bowls and moose in wood, jewellery and much more.

Souvenirs with a personal touch
In Gitta's workshop you will also find a fine selection of Swedish souvenirs – mainly of our own production. Courses During the summer, Gitta holds her popular plant dyeing courses. Current information can be found HERE

Opening hours
During the summer season, Gitta's Workshop is open every Friday and Saturday from 11:00 to 16:00. The 2025 season starts on June 27 and ends on August 30. On any other day, even outside the summer season, you are welcome to drop by spontaneously. Want to make sure we're home? Please call us in advance +46 73 838 56 82. From Årjäng drive to Lennartsfors, approx. 20 km. Drive across the bridge and after 2 km you will see the sign "Bengtsfors 43" and after that a sign “Gittas Verkstad” on your right.
