The fishig district Södra Gunnarskog includes the waters from Gunnern up to lake Nordsjön and several minor lakes in the area around Gunnarskog. Fishing in running waters is allowed in Gårdsåsälven and Gravåsbäcken. Fishing with net is however forbidden from 1 September until the waters are frozen west of Bunäset in lake Gunnern. Fishing forbidden in Årtjärnet and Sälbodaälven between the power plant and lake Bjälvern.
Species of fish: pike, perch, roach, pikeperch, burbot, eel, vendance, natural presence of salmon trout.
Fishing permit: Arvika Tourist Information Center, Larstomta, Thybergs grocery as well as some privat persons in the area. Children up to 16 years fish free on the parent’s licence.
