The Association Degerfors Folkpark was inagurated 16th of June 1912 with a lecture given by P.H Sjöholm a member of the Swedish parliament. The park area was constituted by a single dance floor without a roof. The first performer in the park is said to have been Jan i Grebo.
Degerfors Folkets park is still in business during the summer and offers dancing, bingo and activities for children.
