Franz von Scheele was active and important for the progress of the mineral of Filipstad. He was the originator of Bergsskolan, the Hospital an Filipstad Library. The bust, created of Carl Eldh, was erected in 1932. Franz Von Scheele is buried on the old part of the cemetery next to the church.
