Visit One of Our Municipal Beaches
Abborrtjärn
In Forshaga, you will find the cozy little beach at Abborrtjärn. It has shallow waters and plenty of shade on the beach, making it ideal for families with children. There is a 1.5-kilometer walking trail around the tarn. You can also take a trip around the nearby Sörtjärn, which makes the walk 2.5 kilometers.
Västra Örten
In Mölnbacka, you will find the beach Västra Örten. The lake is surrounded by beautiful scenery, and the beach is no exception. Near the beach, there is a 5-kilometer hiking trail called Kulturstigen. The trail has 15 information boards that guide you through a historical journey.
Visten
At the beach in Arnäs, you can spend a whole day by the shore. The beach has grassy areas where you can lay out a picnic blanket. It has shallow waters with a sandy bottom, making it suitable even for younger children to take a dip. In several places around the lake, you can enjoy nature, take a swim, walk, or fish.
Skivtjärn
Just outside Deje, you will find our largest beach, which also attracts the most visitors during the summer. Parts of the summer, there is also a kiosk here. Right next to the beach is the ski lodge with several fitness trails ranging from 2.5 kilometers to 10 kilometers.
Accessible Beach
During the summer, Skivtjärn’s beach will become more accessible for more people. A new parking lot will be constructed, a wheelchair-accessible toilet will be available in the area, and a ramp leading into the water will be installed. The work has begun and is planned to be completed during the summer.
Safety
All of our beaches are equipped with lifebuoys – do not hesitate to use them if needed.
We test the bathing water several times each summer, and on havochvatten.se, you can see the water quality.
Before the bathing season, we conduct diving inspections at all municipal beaches. The purpose is to find and remove any dangerous objects hidden beneath the surface. To avoid accidents, you should still check what lies beneath the surface before jumping in.
