Wonderful art in an inspiring environment at the gallery of Björkbacka
Olle "Droppen" Eriksson grew up in a village in the county of Medelpad called Gimåfors. He lived in a dwelling consisting of a room and kitchen surrounded by water and endless forests. Perhaps it was there, in the proximity of nature and the absence of material things, that creativity found its fuel. In the early 1970s he settled in Grums in Värmland. His work has been showed in more than 40 exibitions in plaes like Stockholm and Copenhagen. He is a nature worshipper who conveys a love of the details in nature, with a philosophical emphasis on the importance of water, which he symbolises with water droplets of different sizes. They are there, in the middle of nature, like big shiny raindrops.
