OBS! The pedestrian and bicycle bridge between Torsby and Oleby will be closed from December 11, 2023. This affects Siristigen, and an alternative route is recommended. The alternative route is as follows (if coming from Torsby): Björnidésvägen, Bergsängsvägen, Olebyvägen over the bridge, and then connect to the regular route. Please follow the signage.

The first half of the walking path goes through the oldest, southern parts of the municipality. In the area of The homestead-museum at Kollsberg the history of Torsby is reflected, from the early days to present times. The path meanders through the forest along lake Fryken and down to the old suspended bridge over the Ljusnan river. It then follows the river north, through wetlands with many interesting bird habitats. The walk continues through open farmland and over pine groves and planked marshland. The finishing strech passes the artisan homes and galleries of Bovilgården and Sahlströmsgården.
