kmThe Seven Croft Trail is a 7,9 km long hiking trail in the border country between Sweden and Norway. The trail leads past seven crofts of the Forest Finns, who first came to live in Sweden in the 17th century. The houses that you pass on the trail are today mostly private but two of them are places you can visit. Lebiko is on the Norwegian side. It´s sometimes open during the summer and you can buy a snack. The last sattlement on the trail is Ritamäki. It´s open every day during the summer with coffee and waffels. The house it self is a smoke cabin and a museum that shows the daily life of the Forest Finns.
A brochure with map and background information in Swedish, English and German is available at the tourist office of Torsby (20 SEK).
