Tomta was a large Finnish settlement with 14 different buildings in 1844. Today, the main farmhouse, storage shed, stable, woodshed, cellar and barn have remained. The woodshed was originally a sauna. A genuine Finnish sauna has been added in later years. The smoke house was moved here from Lekvattnet, and the smithy and log cabin from other places. The settlement has a high and beautiful location as was often the case with the old farms of the Forest Finns.
