The lake Östra Silen is an eldorado for angling with large numbers of char, salmon trout, salmon, pike, eel, perch and whitefish. The water is crystal clear which is good for the different types of salmon. The lake offers an archipelagic fishing with large water areas with a depth up to 40 metres but also calm creeks where you can fish independent of the wind velocity. The surroundings resemble the wilderness in Canada.
The cabin
They offer one solitary cabin close to the lake and with boat. The cabin is rented Saturday-Saturday but in the off-season it can be rented on other times. The cabin was built in 2012 and holds a high standard. It has four beds + 2 extra beds,m a large terrace and private landing stage with grilling possibilities.
You have access to a 4-metre boat with 4 rod holders. The boat is equipped with 4-stroke-engine with 30 hp. Additional boats can be rented when needed.
They offer information about the fishing and sights in the area as well as fishing licenses. The owners speak English and German. They also offer 2 bicycles, 3 mountainbikes, canoe and kajak.
The farm house
The second house, Liane Farm has 5 rooms, 2 kitchens and 12 beds divided on two apartments. It is situated 1,2 km from lake Östra Silen, where there is a beach and a berth. The apartment on the ground floor is newly renovated but both apartments hold a modern standard. The two apartments are only jointly for rent. The house is perfect for generation living, friends and families, larger groups or families who want space on their vacation. Animals are welcome to Liane Farm and there is an 11 hectare big enclosure next to the house for those who f.i. like to train their dog.
In addition it is possible to rent a boat, bikes, canoes and kayaks. The house has a nice view and there are plenty of wild animals, like moose and roe deer, in the nearby surrounding. There are good possibilities for promenades and hiking in the forest as well as seasonal plucking of berries and mushrooms. Playground and grill house in the garden.
