The Glaskogen Nature Reserve is located in the municipalities of Arvika, Eda, Säffle and Årjäng and is Värmland's largest with it's 28,000 ha.
The nature reserve offers 300 km of hiking trails to choose from. Everything from short tours to week-long tours with overnight accommodation in shelters, cabins or on campsites.
Nice canoe trails in a large lake system with drinkable water. Good fishing opportunities, fishing license required. Glaskogen is located in a border zone in terms of vegetation, which makes the area botanically interesting.
Wildlife contributes to the feeling of wilderness. Here you can see elk, deer, hare, marten, fox and beaver. Traces of lynx and bears have also occurred. Within the reserve there are 90-100 nesting bird species.
