When progress rushes forward in some places, nothing happens in others. A unique example of the later is Ögårn in Dusserud outside of Årjäng.
Here time has stood still and that we are thankful for. It means that today we can enjoy one of the best preserved farms from the beginning of the 19th Century.
The oldest building was actually built in 1777.
Maria Stina Aronsson lived at Ögårn until her death in 1957. She lived to a large extent in the same fashion as her forefathers 150 years earlier and even today some of the
original furniture and household utensils exists.
It is exactly as it was in the old farming community. An experience rich and perhaps beneficial visit for us modern folk.
