Just outside Filipstad is the snow-sure Kalhyttan, a multisport arena and artificial snow facility with a rich skiing history and joy. There are seven different trails totaling 40 kilometers, offering both easy and challenging terrain. The artificial snow trail is four kilometers long and guarantees skiing well into the spring. For those wanting to take an evening ski tour, the illuminated loop is open until 8 PM. There is also a waxing hut with heating and waxing profiles available.
