Lovely Shops, Cafés, and Restaurants in Karlstad City Center

In the city center, there are large shopping malls as well as shops, cafés, and restaurants. Karlstad has a good reputation with its many outdoor seating areas both in the center and around the harbor during the summer. There is also a market when Stora Torget becomes a marketplace three days a week with everything from fresh flowers, vegetables, and fish to clothes and handicrafts.

There are many cozy local shops in Kristinehamn.

Bergvik – One of Sweden’s Largest Shopping Centers

Just west of Karlstad is IKEA and Bergvik shopping center. With its 60 shops and dozens of cafés and restaurants, Bergvik is one of Sweden’s largest shopping centers.

City Centers with High Coziness Factor

The town centers in Värmland are lively and welcoming with smaller shops and high personal service. Don’t miss any of the Värmland patisseries that serve delicious pastries with a long tradition behind them.

Cross-border Shopping in Värmland

In addition to the smaller shops in the borderland, there are two larger shopping centers – in Charlottenberg and in Töcksfors. The latest shopping mecca that has grown thanks to cross-border shopping is Långflons Shopping Center at the very top of northern Värmland.

Sold among other places at Sahlströmsgården, Rackstad Museum, Arvika Crafts, Värmlands Handicraft, Fryksdals Form, and Klässbols Linen Weaving Mill. Urban Johansson creates patterns according to customers’ wishes.
