The bridge Bågen (the arch) crosses the river Uvån in central Hagfors and combines two business areas. On one side you have Köpmangatan, Kyrkogatan and Skolgatan with smaller, cosy shops. Here you can find everything from oriental groceries to clothes, furniture and toys, etc. On the other side of the bridge you find the town square with grocery stores, pharmacy and more.
In the summer the bridge is decorated with flowers in beautiful colors and in the winter the street lamps which stretch over Bågen are embellished with lights that resemble icicles.
The building of the bridge began in 1939 and it was finished in 1940.
