A conservation area which includes the nature reserves: Lungälvsravinerna, Geijerdalsmossen, Kittelfältet and Brandfältet and the cultural reserve Military Airfield 16.
There are areas of geological interest such kettle holes (dead iceholes), ridges, ravines, dunes and meandering streams.
Excellent hiking opportunities and numerous nature trails start from Kittelfältet and Brattfors foundry.

Route 63 between Karlstad and Filipstad cuts right through the area. The reserves and the picnic areas are signposted from Route 63. A large tourist information board can be found at Kittelfältet.
