Combined with the various buildings and parks, the old forest is perfect for relaxing walks. Much of Mariebergsskogen is a fantastic 400 year-old pine forest with huge pines that were already big trees back in the time of King Carl XII. There is no other virgin forest like this anywhere else in Värmland. The forest is crisscrossed with paths and in the south leads to Marieberg’s waterside meadows.
