The Wannadies
The Wannadies broke through in the 90s as one of the leading names in the Swedish indie scene. With songs such as "My Hometown", "You and Me Song", "Shorty" and "Hit", the band reached far beyond the borders of their home country and enjoyed great success in the UK and Japan. 'You and Me Song' has been featured on the soundtrack of Baz Luhrmann's film Romeo + Juliet as well as in numerous commercials. "My Hometown" has been interpreted by artists as disparate as Annika Norlin and child star Oscar Stembridge.
In autumn 2023, the band's frontman Pär Wiksten will appear on Tv4's Så mycket bättre.
Eagle Eye Cherry
- I'm looking forward to my first tour of Sweden in a long time. Over the years I've played a lot around the world, but coming home and touring on home turf will be extra special, says Eagle-Eye Cherry.
Two episodes are enough to realise that Eagle-Eye Cherry's participation in Så Mycket Bättre is a hit. His interpretations, including the beautiful "Believe" by Mapei, go straight to the heart of TV viewers.
In 1997, Eagle-Eye Cherry broke through with a bang with his very first single 'Save Tonight', which became a worldwide hit. In 1998 it was the most played song on American radio and with over half a billion Spotify streams it is one of the biggest Swedish songs ever.
