At Spraktjärn, visitors will find a wind shelter, two jetties, and two designated fire pits.
Please note that lighting fires is only permitted in the designated fire pits.
Fishing Regulations
Permitted Activities
Fishing is permitted only with a valid fishing permit/day permit. A permit expires at 24:00 (midnight).
Permits can be purchased via Swish (QR code available on site) or in physical form from Munkfors-Ransäter Tourist Information, Frendo, Gabbes Närbutik (OKQ8), Storängens Camping, and Böjda Spön in Sunne.
A maximum of one (1) fishing permit per person per day is allowed.
A maximum of three (3) rainbow trout per person per day may be caught.
A maximum of one (1) rod per person is allowed.
Children aged 12 years and under may fish under the supervision of a guardian using the same permit; however, a maximum of three (3) fish in total may be caught.
One adult with two actively fishing children = maximum three (3) rods.
The following fishing methods and baits are permitted: spinning, fly fishing, bottom fishing, float fishing, worms, shrimp, power bait, and use of fish finders.
Prohibited Activities
Fishing without a valid permit is strictly prohibited.
In the event of illegal fishing, a control fee of SEK 500 will be charged and the incident will be reported to the police without delay.
Ground baiting or the use of corn is prohibited, as corn husks may become lodged in the fish’s intestines and cause death.
The use of any type of vessel is prohibited, including boats, float tubes, canoes, and similar.
The use of nets, traps, or fishing for crayfish is strictly prohibited.
Using dead or live fish as bait is not permitted.
Camping by the lake is not allowed.
It is prohibited to discard cigarette butts, snus pouches, or litter in the water or on land. All rubbish must be taken home.
Important Information
Fishing permits must be carried at all times while fishing and presented upon request to the fisheries inspector or any authorised official.
All fishing, as well as travel to and from the fishing waters, is conducted at the visitor’s own risk.
